Britt announces 2016 season
The Northwest’s premier outdoor summer music festival presents performances by artists in pop, rock, country, bluegrass, folk, classical, world music and more.

JACKSONVILLE, OR — Britt Music & Arts Festival announces its full 2016 season lineup, coming to the outdoor amphitheater on the Britt hill in scenic Jacksonville this summer. The 2016 season includes pop legend Diana Ross; superstar rock band Hollywood VampiresAlice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Joe Perry; the Cuban troupe Buena Vista Social Club with Omara Poruondo and Eliades Ochoa; country music star Justin Moore; comedians Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally; Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Steve Miller; the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band on their 50th Anniversary Tour; pop sensation Fitz and the Tantrums; a new project by singers Neko Case, k.d. lang and Laura Veirs; and much more.

Britt Music & Arts Festival is a member-supported non-profit organization and the Pacific Northwest’s oldest outdoor music and performing arts festival. Set among majestic ponderosa pines and native madrones, the vast hillside estate of gold rush era pioneer Peter Britt forms a natural amphitheater of unparalleled beauty, where internationally renowned artists perform every summer. For more than 50 years, Britt’s world-class performances, spectacular views, and casual, relaxing atmosphere have attracted thousands of music lovers from all over the West.

The 2016 season kicks off with the annual Taste of Summer celebration in Jacksonville, on Saturday, June 4. The city-wide celebration is co-sponsored by Britt, the Jacksonville Chamber and Business Association. The day includes a wine walk, live music, food booths, artisan crafters, classic car displays and more.

Britt’s summer season also includes the annual Best of Britt benefit on Thursday, June 30. The evening includes food from local restaurants and tastings from local wineries, beer from Western Beverage and Ninkasi Brewing. The evening includes a silent auction, and is topped off by a headline performance by Lyle Lovett and his Large Band.

Tickets for Britt’s 2016 season go on sale beginning April 8 to Britt members and on May 13 to the general public.
