America - 40th Anniversary Tour

Friday, June 24 • 7:30 p.m.

AmericaTallShot.jpgThis year marks the 40th Anniversary of the wildly successful and critically lauded self-titled debut album from perennial classic-rock favorites, America. The album spawned two top-ten singles – “A Horse With No Name” and “I Need You” – and launched an enduring career based on radio-friendly folk rock punctuated by diverse and dynamic instrumentation. The combination of Gerry Beckley’s melodic pop rock and Dewey Brunnell’s folk-jazz elements and slinky Latin rhythms made the band a cornerstone of FM rock radio and contributed to other memorable Top-40 hits including “Sister Golden Hair,” “Ventura Highway,” “Don’t Cross The River,” “Tin Man” and “Lonely People.” Special guest TBA
