Having earned his stripes as a musician playing drums and opening for bands such as Humble Pie, Hank Williams Jr., Ted Nugent, the Earl Scruggs Reviewand Richie Havens, among others, Academy Award-winning screenwriter, actor and director Billy Bob Thornton continues his return to his musical roots. His voice has been called a cross between Tom Petty and Leonard Cohen. Thornton is touring to promote his latest album Beautiful Door, an introspective collection of roots rock, country and folk.

What a surprise! I had no idea Billy Bob was a musician and we loved this concert. With his quirky personality he brought together a band with amazing talents that rocked. They first came out wearing 60s style silk suits and did what I felt was country-rock songs with a 60s flair. After the imtermission they re-appeared in jeans and t-shirts and they had just as much fun as we did. Each musician in the band had a chance to spotlight their talent, and the mix of music was, in a word, fun! I would definitely see them again, we enjoyed it!
