Billy Idol
Wednesday, July 2, 2008 • 7:30 p.m.
Rocker Billy Idol was one of the first artists to achieve massive success in the early '80s due in large part to huge exposure on MTV. The singer who howled "Rebel Yell," growled "White Wedding" rocked the "Cradle of Love" and manhandled "Mony Mony" is touring in support of the June release of Idolize Yourself: Very Best of Billy Idol. This show will not have an opening act. For more information, visit http://billyidol.net/

This was one of the best concerts i have seen, he sounds true to his albums. glad you added him on, please bring him back!!!
Yes… I haven’t been to a Britt Concert since 2001 and to really return to the Britt and hear somebody like Billy Idol singing his old-school and new music was really a treat for me and my friends. Thanks Britt for having him here, and please have him back next year as I will definitely return to hear his music.
When Billy came out during his first set I thought oh-boy he’s showing his age.He seemed a bit reserved and unenergetic during his first 3 or 4 songs but to my pleasent surprise I realized Billy was just warming up..He and his band put on an excellent show the guitar solo Steve Stevens did incorperating spanish rythyms along with Led Zeppelin”s “over the hills” was an awesome surprise…Great show!! I would love to have him back in Southern Oregon anytime!!
BFI Rocked!!! I thinks it’s great when the entire crowd stands on their feet…it’s an awesome gesture to the artist!!! It was also a sight to see all the girls/women representing with their 80’s style! Great night at Britt!!!!
When I heard Billy Idol was coming to the Britt, I was thrilled. We brought my 70-year old mom, and she with all of us, had a blast!! The sound quality was excellent, and showmanship was top-notch. He played all his hits, with his classic rebellious enthusiasm. This was the best Britt show I have seen in a long time!!
I am a child of the 80’s and let’s just say I couldn’t have been more obsessed with Billy Idol. Unfortuantely, I never got to see him in concert back then. So when I saw him on the Britt ‘08 line up, I was beyond thrilled. I treated myself and three friends for my birthday and was NOT dissappointed. We had a great time and the concert was phenomenal. He sounds exactly like he did 20 years ago! Steve Stevens is still one of the most awesome rock guitarist ever. I hope Billy had as great of a time playing the venue so that he’ll come back and see us again soon. Besides, I need another opportunity to get a “kiss” ; )
We drove for 4 hours from Humboldt to see this concert, and we had a great time there, Billy Idol was not as we had expected after all those years, he was everything that he used to be! He sounded great and was doing what he does best, singing and being Billy Idol! He is the best kind of entertainer, one who interacts with the crowd.
The evening was warm and the festival grounds in Jacksonville are user friendly, what a great place it is there. We will be back for more R&R…….. Thanks for putting on concerts like this.
