Trumpeter Chris Botti draws from the worlds of pop, jazz and classical music to create his own signature sound. Now one of the world's top-selling instrumental artists, he has transformed contemporary instrumental jazz, earning both critical acclaim and mainstream appreciation for his warmth and charismatic performances. For his most recent project, Botti invited artists including Sting, Josh Groban, Steven Tyler, Yo-Yo Ma and John Mayer to join him on stage with Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Orchestra. Following the exclusive televised premiere of Chris Botti In Boston on PBS, the event will be released on CD, DVD and Blu-ray this spring. Special guest TBA.

WOW! Now, I’m not a big jazz fan, mostly I tolerate it unless its an off the chart artist like Stanley Clarke. Well, Chris Botti joined the ranks of amazing for me. Along with his virtuosity is his warmth on stage, in that way one of the best performers Britt has had. And, his band is fantastic, especially the purcussion. The lady on vocals…well, it doesnt matter that Natalie Cole cancelled at Britt, we got to see a likeness, and as good or maybe better vocals. GREAT SHOW. THANKS AGAIN BRITT. This was the second time at the Britt that we were honored by a wonderful performance by Chris and his special guest Lucia Micarelli. Chris is such a warm and “down to earth” young man and we should be so proud that he was born and raised in our wonderful state of Oregon! Our special friend Sarah at Cobblestone Cottages joined us for the first time seeing Chris – and she loved him!
Thank you Britt for including Chris in your 2009 performance schedule. We hope that you will bring him back once again – we will be there!
