From the informal, tradition-rooted folkiness of her initial release
The Texas Campfire Tapes and the strong postmodern feminist perspective
and punk attitude on Short Sharp Shocked, Michelle Shocked has stayed
true to herself, a music industry maverick. The genre-bending artist
returns to Britt after a scorching performance in 2006. ToHeavenURide, a collection of covers and originals recorded live from Shocked's 2003
performance at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, was released last year.Michelle Shocked will close this concert.

The Devil Makes Three
With
a slightly punky perspective on vintage American blues, The Devil Makes
Three is a breath of fresh musical air. Laced with elements of ragtime,
country, folk and rockabilly, the critically-acclaimed, drummer-less
trio brings forth a genuine approach to acoustic music that is deeply
steeped in rhythm. In fact, they write with rhythm and dancing in mind.
The Devil Makes Three draws a wide spectrum of fans from all genres and
ages.

Reviews:
I give it 4stars! Michelle was great as per usual and that was the first time I have seen Devil Makes 3, very good group!
I attended to see Devil Makes Three and give them 4 stars. I brought my 9 month old and we danced, danced and danced some more. She loved it. I was pleased to see all the children present, it really made me smile. Music is good for the soul no matter how old you are!
Well, I KNEW that Michelle was great, but knew NOTHING about the Devil! THEY ARE SOO GOOD!
I like lots of different musical styles and sure like theirs!
I would go anywhere to see them! AND I AM A REALLY OLD FAN: 60!
See? Some of us oldsters still rock!
