Celebrate the alignment of four brightest stars in the musical firmament as violinist Hilary Hahn lights up the Britt stage to play Dvorak's dramatic Romantic masterwork and we pay special tribute to the legenday musical geniuses Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Dmitri Shostakovich. (Maestro Bay has chosen to honor Mozart's 250th birthday and Shostakovich's 100th by presenting these two symphonies.)
Grammy Award-winning 26-year-old violinist Hilary Hahn was named "America's Best" young classical musician by Time magazine in 2001. She has an extraordinary career with recital tours throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia. She maintains a busy concert schedule with the world's leading orchestras and has recorded many CDs including her 2001 recording of Brahms and Stravinsky which won her a Grammy.
