Jamie Cullum
Friday, July 23 • 7:30 p.m.
Jamie Cullum’s willingness to defy convention has won him an
enviable reputation as a magnetic live performer, playing freewheeling concerts
that emphasize spontaneity and improvisation. He is the biggest-selling British
jazz artist of all time, and he’s acclaimed for both his original work and his
strikingly creative way with covers (among them, Radiohead’s “High & Dry”
and Pharrell’s “Frontin”). The English
singer/songwriter/pianist/multi-instrumentalist's latest album The Pursuit is an expansive labor of love that embraces the full
range of the artist’s diverse talents, restless artistic spirit and far-flung
musical passions. He returns to Britt after an unforgettable performance in
2006.

Reviews:
Outstanding performer. Lots of jazz, oldies, pop and a little Sondheim with a new arrangement I found quite interesting.
A kind soul to the audience with a lovely salute to a couple celebrating their 60th Wedding Anniversary.
Excellent musicians to complement Jamie. He never fails to give a solid, entertaining 2 hours and 15 minutes, I think it was. Looking forward to his next visit!
