Lyle Lovett and His Large Band and k.d. Lang

Four-time Grammy award winners, Lyle Lovett and k.d. lang toured together in 2007. lang was backed by her small quartet and Lovett, by his legendary Large Band.

Lyle Lovett is one of the most revered country / crossover musicians of his time. The Texas-born singer / songwriter's appeal has lasted nearly two decades, thanks to critically acclaimed albums.

Over the last 20 years, k.d. lang has lent her voice to an astonishing range of material from Nashville tearjerkers to Tin Pan Alley torch songs, from playful cow-punk tunes to sultry, grown-up pop.

Two magnificent performances in one concert. First, kd lang’s voice has the power to move audiences into awe, joy and wonder. Her whole set thrilled me.

Second, Lyle Lovett is a consummate entertainer and his large band (and subsets of it) were versatile enough to provide a wide range of musical styles. The mini set with the bluegrass guys was wonderful.
