An Evening with Pink Martini
Friday, June 25 • 8 p.m.
Back by popular demand, Oregon’s own Pink Martini returns to
the Britt stage to perform a full evening of its unique mix of sophisticated
yet approachable music. The 12-member ensemble performs a multi-cultural
repertoire, and founder/pianist Thomas Lauderdale describes their music,
saying, “Pink Martini is a rollicking around-the-world musical adventure…if the
United Nations had a house band in 1962, hopefully we’d be that band.”

Reviews:
What an amazing group of performers and musicians! After listening to this group via CD, it was such a delight to see them in person. The personalities along with riviting music made the night most enjoyable.
Incredible night with Portland’s “little orchestra”, Pink Martini! Thomas Lauderdale was charming as China Forbes captivated the audience with her command of over six languages spoken or sung that night. While I loved their show last year in the presentation of “Oregon! Oregon!”, I thought this year’s event was more intimate and a great introduction to Pink Martini newcomers while never disappointing their truest of fans. Please bring them back next season…perhaps with the Britt Orchestra?!?!
