Sunday, July 9, 2006 • 7 p.m.

robthomas.jpgFor nearly a decade now, Rob Thomas has been a ubiquitous presence on the modern musical landscape. As the primary composer and leadsinger for matchbox 20, he has been the driving force both behind and in front of one of the mos consistently successful rock bands in recent history. Independent of the band, Thomas' growing reputation as an exceptional songwriter has led to invitations to collaborate with a select list of artists- most notably Santana, for whom he wrote a sang the multiple Grammy-winning "Smooth." His debut solo album Something To Be, was released in 2005.

The then-twenty-five-year-old from Mechanicsville, Virginia, Jason Mraz was onto his debut full-length album, Waiting for My Rocket to Come in 2002. Garnering comparisons to the likes of Dave Matthews, Nick Drake, James Taylor and David Gray, Mraz's singularly rich voice soars to the rafters with its intensity and sincerity of delivery. His sophomore studio effort MR A-Z was released last year.
