Since its humble beginning as an enthusiastic a cappella
quartet from Brown University in 1986, Rockapella has evolved into a
high-energy concert performance troupe that travels the globe thrilling fans
everywhere they land. The little miracle that constantly attracts new fans and
keeps crowds coming back year after year is Rockapella’s astonishing full-band
sound. No instruments, no tracks, no smoke, no mirrors – just five guys with
microphones and a talent for producing a smooth and soulful pop, rock and
R&B sound. Perhaps best known for their five-year stint on PBS’s Where
in the World is Carmen Sandiego, Rockapella
is a sonic treat for all ages.
Vocal band The Coats started their career on the street corners of Seattle, Washington’s famous Pike Place Market. The year was 1987, and needing to pay their tuition at the University of Washington, the four-some began singing for locals, tourist, fishmongers and fellow buskers. Since then The Coats have evolved into a full-time international performance group who’ve won multiple national vocal competitions. They’ve also sung for the President of the United States and graced the stage with the likes of Trisha Yearwood, The Beach Boys, Tanya Tucker, Billy Dean and Crystal Gayle, just to name a few.
