Taste of Summer
Downtown Jacksonville Saturday, June 11, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Celebrate the beginning of summer in Jacksonville! A Taste of Summer celebrates the beginning of another great Britt season in our beautiful hometown. Music and the sights are free, chargers for activities, food and wine will vary.
The whole city is coming out for a day of festivities, including
Wine Tastings from 12-4 p.m.by: Caprice Vineyards, Devitt Winery, JF Guerrero Wines, Quady North, EdenVale Winery, South Stage Cellars, Longsword Vineyard, Troon Vineyard, Valley View Winery, Weisinger's of Ashland, Umpqua Valley Wine and Soloro Vineyard. Wine tasting: $14 Glass: $6 Wine tastings tickets will be available on 3rd street beginning at noon; tastings will be located in shops throughout downtown
Live Music by: Andy Casad, 12-2 p.m., next to Pico's, California Street Kites & Crows, 12-2 p.m., 3rd Street Christina & Velvet Bleu, 12 noon, Courthouse Steps Generation Jones, 2-4 p.m., next to Pico's California Street Allison & Victor, 2-4 p.m., 3rd Street

Booths from local restaurants (3rd Street), beginning at 11 a.m.: MacLevin's Lodestar Las Palmas Gary West Frau Kemmling
Hot air balloon rides (weather and winds permitting): Daybreak Ballooning will provide tethered balloon rides at the Bigham Knoll field, 8-11 a.m. Suggested donation of $3-$5 per person
Plus: Classic cars (California Street) Street Performers Paragliders Shops and restaurants throughout Jacksonville will be open throughout downtown
