Tears for Fears
Tuesday, July 26, 2005 • 7:30 p.m.
If there are godfathers of adult alternative music, they're Tears for Fears. The bleak, echoing piano on "Mad World" was most everyone's first glimpse into Tears for Fears' emotionally abstract songwriting and soul-inspired vocals. They entered the big leagues in the '80s with their hits "Shout," "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" and "Head Over Heels." In 2004, they reunited for the first time in over a decade and released the colorful, Beatlesque album Everyone Loves a Happy Ending.

Tuesday, July 26, 2005 • 7:30 p.m.
As
drummer for both Smashing Pumpkins and Zwan, Jimmy Chamberlin and a
cast of trusted friends and peers cranked out 11 cinematic, sometimes
dark and jaggededged songs in the summer of 2004 composing Life Begins
Again, the debut effort and the brainchild of both Chamberlin and
friend, colleague and multi-instrumentalist Billy Mohler. Mohler is an
L.A.- based songwriter who has worked with everyone from Macy Gray to
Fred Durst.
