Three Dog Night

threedognight.jpgIn the years 1969 through 1974, no other group achieved more Top 10 hits, moved more records or sold more concert tickets than legendary music icons Three Dog Night. Their hits wind through the fabric of pop culture today, whether on the radio where they are heard day in and day out, or in TV commercials and in major motion pictures—songs like "Mama Told Me (Not To Come)," "Joy to the World," "Shambala," "One" and "Black and White" heighten emotions and crystallize Three Dog Night's continuing popularity.

AnnieMac

AnnieMacsoloweb.jpgAnnieMac draws on old-school R&B riffs, deep soul, and emotion-inspired lyrics for hard-edged originals and highly danceable covers. Often compared to The Band, Little Feat, and The Allman Brothers Band, AnnieMac delivers guitar rock that speaks to the heart. For more information, visit http://anniemacmusic.com/

On one hand, the opening act, Annie Mac, was a wonderful treat. She is an up-n-coming local artist with a seasoned feel and sound. Her original tunes and genuine approach created an atmosphere for a magical evening of music.
Then, 3 Dead Night came on, and the evening mood dropped. It might not have seemed so flat, but security did not allow people to stand to applaud, or dance whatsoever. It seems an insult to the band when people can’t express themselves in an appreciative and appropriate way. And it certainly was an insult to me as a paying and respectful patron. Annie Mac was a joy, and what the Britt atmosphere should be all about.

This concert was great and Three Dog Night brought back many memories of the 70’s and my college days.
To the previous poster.
As for allowing people to stand and dance during a performance I say if you want to dance go to the top of the hill and dance. I don’t go to concerts to see someone dance. I go to watch the performers perform. Dancing in front of me at a concert is a major distraction to me and most others.
