Some of the most well-known melodies of classical music will fill the air as Maestro Bay and the britt Orchestra present this "White Nights" ("Beliye Nochi") concert. Tchaikovsky's mighty First Piano Concerto is the centerpiece of this program featuring some of the most beloved and lyrical moments in all of Russian music.
A native of Lithuania, Muza Rubackyte (MOO-za- Roo-but-SKEE-teh) spent many years living a restricted musical life due to Soviet oppression and the political obstacles of the day. Her personal struggles in a pre-perestroika world and her complete technical mastery of the piano are sure to make this performance of the Tchaikovsky unforgetttable.
