Alternative rock band Wilco has been inspired by a wide variety of artists and styles, including alternative country and classic pop, and has in turn influenced a number of modern alternative rock acts. The band's new concert DVD, Ashes of American Flags, will be released this April. Mixing live footage with band interviews, the DVD takes the viewer behind the scenes of Wilco's 2008 U.S. tour, and captures both the expansive experience of rolling across America in a tour bus and the intimacy that happens each night between the band and their fans. The band is presently working on a new studio album for summer release.

Okkervil River is an indie folk band from Austin, Texas. Formed in 1998, the band takes its name from a short story by Russian author Tatyana Tolstaya. They self-released their first album, Stars Too Small to Use, which led them to the South by Southwest music festival. Okkervil River released their most recent album The Stand Ins on September 9, 2008.

Wilco rocked this performance. Get them back!
Need more, Wilco.
Ultimate Dance Band ; Tremendous Time was had by all. Love, goolie
band was real nice and everyone had fun
plus there were T.V. stars in the audience…..how cool is that?
Wilco show was really top shelf…I’ve been to over 100 Britt shows, and this is one of the very best. Incredible high energy in the crowd. One of those special nights on the hill that will stick in my memory…wow.
Great show! I saw both Wilco and Okkerville River at Bonnaroo a year or two ago but nothing rivals the intimate feel you get at the Britt. Both bands never disappoint!
Wilco was fantastic; with a nice set of older songs and those from the new album. The sound mix was outstanding, as was the venue and evening.
It would be great if you could do something about the people who talk during all of the slower songs. Honestly, I don’t understand why they spend the money, although I usually overhear them at the end of the evening saying how great the show was… huh? That was the only damper on a really outstanding show.
Wilco is truly one the finest , most stimulating concert experiences I have ever had. The band is amazing . My only complaint is that when I purchased my tickets off the Britt website , it stated that the front lawn was going to remain open for dancing .When I arrived on site at 6 pm. I found out that they handed out wrist bands to a few people and then closed it off. I was extremely disappointed at this decision. It was unfair for the Britt to do this with out informing ticket buyers previous . I drove a couple hours to see them and certainly had I known this was the case would of showed up earlier.
Great venue, great show. Being my first “Britt” experience, a few things that were “interesting”. Closing the beer stand during performances? Never seen that one before. Also the blue wristband issue…not mentioned on the website. From what I understood this was a “dance” show so no blankets, coolers…etc. I’ll be ready next time because the venue is truly magical.
Wilco was amazing!! Deeply soulful and yet highly professional. The whole set flowed, the sound was great, the audience was responsive, and they came back out for a multi-song encore when the crowd begged more more….the entire show was magical. For any who missed it, or for those who want to share the experience, their multi-concert DVD “Ashes of an American Flag” just came out and is EXCELLENT. Great cinematography and commentary, super picture and sound quality, and a very similar, wonderful setlist…thanks for the great show, Britt! Okkervil River gave it’s best but has a way to go to be in Wilco’s class…I’m sure they were inspired too.
The Wilco concert was one of the most amazing shows I’ve been to in a while. The sound mix was excellent, and the band was amazing. Before it really got dark, a group of people in the front were annoying Jeff Tweedy with their incessant yapping and attempts to get someone’s birthday announced. He handled it well though, and once it got dark, the band really fired up. The guitars sounded amazing, the drums rocked, and the keyboards and bass sounded excellent. The energy on stage and in the audience was just fabulous. They played all the songs my group had requested online, which was nice, and a whole lot of other great songs. Wilco was pure Rock and Roll awesomeness, and it was great to have them at Britt.
this was an awesome concert. need to get them back again. cheers
