Britt Classical Festival Begins...

Every August, over 100 professional musicians from America's great orchestras and the world's best loved guest soloists come together to offer extraordinary classical music under the stars. The orchestra will take the stage, the moon will rise over the pavilion, crickets will begin their rhythmic serenade and the sparkling music of Chopin will remind us once again of the special thrill of classical music under the stars.

This year's festival includes pianist Ingrid Fliter, trumpeter Alison Balsom, the Arianna String Quartet with special guest pianist Anton Nel, a weekend of "The Golden Age of the Silver Screen" paying tribute to the golden age of movie music featuring violinist Janet Sung, violinist Jaime Laredo, cellist Sharon Robinson, and pianist Sara Davis Buechner. Encounter the musical genius Midori. Join pianist Jon Kimura Parker for a "Star-Spangled Evening" featuring the work of Gershwin and Copland.
