Growing Up Brubeck

 Britt Festivals presents “Growing Up Brubeck,” a talk with
Chris and Dan Brubeck, on Thursday, June 24 at Artistic Piano Gallery in
Medford. The brothers, sons of living legend Dave Brubeck, will talk about
their experience growing up in one of America’s most accomplished musical
families.

Musician and composer Chris Brubeck was recently a featured
composer with the Boston Pops. He toured and recorded for ten years with the
Dave Brubeck Quartet before forming The Brubeck Brothers Quartet. Drummer
Daniel Brubeck is the rhythmic force of the Brubeck Brothers Quartet and has
toured the international music circuit for more than two decades. He has led
his own group, The Dolphins, in addition to performing with the Dave Brubeck
Quartet.
The Brubeck Brothers Quartet performs at Britt on June 24 at
7:30 p.m., opening for Béla Fleck, Zakir Hussain and Edgar Meyer. The
"Growing Up Brubeck" talk is free and open to the public, as part of
Britt’s community education efforts. Tickets for the evening concert are
