Party Planning Time!

This informative Blog will require some note taking. Not to worry because all you will need is your smart phone, planner, calendar, or sticky note, and either a pen, pencil, or marker of your choice.

Planning your year with Britt in mind will allow you to attend events, become more aware of artists in the music world, and enjoy the outdoors. Which doesn’t sound too bad!

First of all, we just had our Classical Season Announcement party last week; a good time was had by all. Now you are able to buy and order tickets for the upcoming classical season that will be going on from July 31st to August 19th.

Turning the calendar to February, our Last Britt Bash will take place on February 25th at the Rogue Valley Country Club. The Last Bash is a fundraiser event that benefits our Classical Festival and education programs. The event starts off with a hosted bar at 5pm, and will end with the East Main Band that will sing and dance us into the night. Tickets for this event are $100 per person. And wearing festive attire will definitely add to the celebration of our 50th year. To take part in the Last Britt Bash contact (541)-779-0847 for ticket sales and more information regarding the event.

One of the most anticipated days of the Britt Festivals season is April 4th. This is the evening that the General Summer 2012 Season lineup is announced. Circle, underline, highlight, and point arrows to this day in your planner, calendar, or sticky note. After the season announcement members will be able to buy and order tickets on April 12th for the sought after lineup for the summer season. General public sales begin on May 17th.

Since April 4th is still two months away, I can’t give details about who is playing and when (it’s going to be great!), so we’ll move on to June 9. This is Jacksonville’s own summer sample, called Taste of Summer, co-hosted by Britt, the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, and Jacksonville Oregon Business Association. This event will take place in downtown Jacksonville which is the perfect setting for street vendors, wine tasting, and performances by both musician and street artists.

July is the ideal month to revel in the outdoor atmosphere of the Britt Hill. On July 19th Britt will celebrate its 50th year by a gala party to raise money for Britt Festivals, a non-profit organization.

For the months of June, July, August, and September, your calendar should be flexible enough so that you can experience the outdoor concerts of the summer under the Oregon stars in the one-of-a-kind setting of the Britt hill. Hopefully your smart phone, planner, calendar, or sticky note is scribbled with enough Britt events to last you this monumental 50th season. Looking forward to this 50th season full of fundraisers, food, and most importantly music.
