When will if know I am accepted to camp? String Quartet Academy applicants will be accepted on a rolling basis. We recommend submitting your application no later than mid-March to ensure consideration for financial aid. Start your SQA application online.
Is the application fee refundable? The application fee if $100. If accepted, the application fee is applied to tuition. If not accepted, $75 of the application fee is refunded.
Which airport do I fly into? The Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport. It is a small airport, and requires connecting flights from most locations. Most of the connecting flights are from Denver, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Las Vegas or Phoenix. Fares are usually on sale right after Spring Break.
How do I get from the airport to the lodging? We provide transportation to and from the airport for flights departing after 6 a.m. or arriving before 11 p.m. If you travel before or after those times, we will help you arrange for a shuttle, which costs you $24 each way. If you are under 15, some airlines require adult check-in at the airport; please try to book your flights mid-day so we can accommodate all requirements.

How do students get to and from activities during camp? Transportation to all activities is provided for all students in 12-passenger vans.
Are students supervised? Carefully-selected counselors, teachers and staff supervise students 24 hours a day, regardless of age. College-age students have fewer restrictions than students under 18. Local students are supervised in all activities. All students are required to sign a behavior agreement that helps ensure their safety during camp. Counselors reside with the students and accompany them to all activities.
What kind of recreational opportunities are available? Each camp includes activities chosen to coordinate with the week's schedule. Detailed information will be available to students after acceptance into the program. Students may also be provided opportunities to visit downtown Ashland, stop by the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and see the renowned Green Show, attend master classes with Britt Festivals' world class artists, attend Ashland City Band concerts and attend Britt Festivals performances.

How do I get financial aid? Complete the financial aid portion of the application and submit your application as early as possible. Camp acceptance and financial aid distribution is done on a rolling basis and scholarship funds are limited. Scholarships are extremely competitive, so you are strongly encouraged to seek financial aid from local sources, and apply as early as possible.
Are there performances families and friends can attend? Yes. Each camp has a recital celebrating the work done during the camp. These recitals are open to the public and free of charge.
