Have you ever wondered how Britt Festivals started? In 2006, John Trudeau, the founding music director and first
conductor of the Britt Festival Orchestra, published a book about his
experience of seeing his lifelong dream of starting a music festival
become become a reality. The book is a detailed account of the beginning of Britt, starting in the early 1960s.
For a taste of the book, here's a humorous moment from Trudeau's book, Touches of
Sweet Harmony.

Volunteers
Being a volunteer is definitely a state of mind and lifestyle choice.
It can be something that we do for a couple of hours once a week or
several times a month, or it can be a one-time thing. It is something
thoroughly enjoyable and fulfilling. Of course, volunteering is
something that everyone can do. Most people would say that they just
don’t have time, but I would argue that it is more of a matter of how
you choose to spend your time.
