Indigo Girls

Thursday, July 23, 2009 • 7:30 p.m.

indigogirls.jpgIt's been more than two decades since the folk/rock duo the Indigo Girls launched their career with their independently released debut Strange Fire. Now, ten major-label studio albums later, Emily Saliers and Amy Ray have come full circle with the new two-disc album, Poseidon And The Bitter Bug, on their own label IG Recordings. With a legacy of releases and tours behind them, the Indigo Girls have outlasted many of their peers and earned a loyal fan base along the way with songs including "Closer to Fine," "Galileo" and "Shame On You." They've balanced their music with an unwavering commitment to social, political and environmental issues. Special guest TBA.

His music draws from elements of hip hop, soul, jazz, blues and rock. David Ryan Harris' latest release Soulstice showcases his trademark combination of blues-influenced guitar, haunting melodies and beautiful story-like lyrics.
