Britt Membership Program FAQs
It takes a huge commitment of time and money to make Britt
happen. Ticket sales account for about 60% of Britt's annual operating revenue, with the balance coming from concession sales, advertising, fundraising and
contributed income. Membership donations represent a significant portion of the
contributed income category.
What does a Britt membership support? Simply put, membership helps support everything that Britt
does. Membership supports the diverse lineup Britt brings to southern Oregon
each summer, the Classical Festival, and Britt’s education and community
outreach efforts.
Why should I become a member? Because Britt is a vital part of the cultural fabric of southern Oregon, and your membership contribution helps support all of our programs.
When you become a Britt member, you join hundreds of people who believe the
performing arts are important to the vitality of our region and who share our
mission.
Also, becoming a Britt member will keep you connected! We
thank our members with wonderful benefits like the member pre-sale, giving you
access to tickets before the general public, and more benefits that enhance
your Britt Experience, like access to the wait list, ticket exchange
privileges, updates and news from Britt, and more.
How long is my membership good for? Britt memberships are valid for one calendar year, from
January through December. Many of our loyal members have supported Britt for
years and years; we indicate which members have supported us for 10 or more
consecutive years in our Playbill. Each fall we begin the membership drive for
the next season.
What's the difference between premium reserved blankets and member reserved blankets? Premium Reserved Blankets are located between the reserved benches and the stage. For most concerts, that area is sold as Premium Reserved Blankets, priced for reserved seats for two or four people. Members have first access through the member pre-sale, and any blankets not sold during the member pre-sale will be available for purchase by the general public.
Ten Member Reserved Blankets are located behind the reserved benches on the general lawn seating area. Only members at the Clef Club level ($600) and above have access to those blankets. Those member reserved blankets are priced as lawn seating.
How do I use my benefits? Member benefits are our way of thanking you for your
contribution. Many of the benefits are centered around access to tickets and
tangible items or services that will enhance your Britt Experience. All members
have access to tickets before the general public through the member pre-sale. After we announce the 2012 season, all members
receive a “member packet,” with a schedule, order forms and a handy member
benefits guide that explains how to access all of your benefits. Of course, you
can also always call the Britt office for help.
Can I split a membership with a friend? Britt member benefits apply to one household, and are
non-transferable. Benefits apply only to the person whose name is on the
membership.
