It takes a huge commitment of time and money to make Britt happen. Ticket sales account for 65% of Britt's annual operating revenue with the balance coming from concession sales, advertising, fundraising and contributed income. Membership donations represent approximately 70% of the contributed income category. Are there any changes in member benefits for 2008? No
Why should I become a member if I can't get reserved seats? A membership contribution should never be considered a guarantee for tickets. With only 662 reserved seats at the performance venue in Jacksonville, it is impossible to fill all reserved seat requests for a few of the most popular shows. To help improve member access, restrictions are placed on the number of reserved seat tickets patrons can buy for the big shows. Few performances sell out during the member advance sale period and the majority of Britt's performances have plenty of reserved seats available.
What about the wait list and how does it work? The wait list is one of Britt's most valuable member benefits. When ordering tickets you should always request the wait list. Many times we are able to accommodate everyone on the wait list due to ticket exchanges, returns and unused artist and press seats. Be patient because it works!
How does the ticket exchange benefit work? The ticket exchange privilege is a benefit for all current members. Exchanges must be made through Britt's main box office in Medford no less than seven days prior to the performance. A handling fee of $2 per ticket is charged for exchanges. No cash refunds are made for ticket price differentials.
What are reserved blankets? The blue numbered tarps located on the lawn in front of and directly behind the reserved seat sections are known as reserved blankets. Access to the 17 blankets, which seat up to four patrons each holding lawn seat tickets, is a member benefit for Clef Club contributors and above. You may reserve up to one blanket space per concert subject to availability. Reservations must be made prior to the day of performance.
I want to share an upper level membership (Clef Club and above). Can reserved blanket and parking privileges be used by different employees and/or friends? Yes. However, it needs to be remembered each membership is listed under one name and distribution of benefits is determined by the named member. Only one reserved blanket and one parking space is available per performance (subject to availability).
Why doesn't Britt Festivals add more off-street upper level member parking? Adding off-street permit parking for Clef Club members and above is a slow process. Many patrons don't realize Britt does not own the land in Jacksonville where concerts take place. The Britt Park is a Jackson County-owned facility and all the land surrounding the park is owned by the county, the City of Jacksonville or private owners. A recently completed Master Plan for Grounds Improvement at the Britt Park includes off-street parking projects that would add much-needed space if approved by the City of Jacksonville.
Britt Festivals is constantly working with the city to make all patron parking as convenient as possible. In 2003, 49 new public parking spaces were created in Jacksonville during the city's spring street improvement project. Funds were contributed by Britt and Jackson County to help pay for the new on-street parking.
Are picnic tables in the Britt Park available for member use? Picnic table reservations, subject to availability, can be made by Clef Club level members and above for performances throughout the season. Reservations must be made through Britt's main box office in Medford prior to the day of performance. Picnic table reservations will be held until one hour before the concert begins.
How are member vouchers/coupons applied to a ticket order? Britt's new computerized ticketing system allows us to credit your account automatically for the number of vouchers/coupons that are included at your membership level. You simply indicate on your order the concerts for which you would like to use the vouchers/coupons.
