Blondie emerged as one of the great pop icons of the late-‘70s new wave punk scene by defying easy categorization. They wrote great rock hooks and brilliant, ironic lyrics. They had the hippest clothes and the coolest hair. Debbie Harry went from the pages of Punk magazine to the covers of mainstream publications everywhere. They made an indelible mark with hits including "Heart of Glass," "Call Me," "The Tide Is High" and "Island of Lost Souls." Blondie reunited in the late-‘90s, and in 2008, they celebrated the 30-year anniversary of Parallel Lines with a re-release of the album that sold over 20 million copies.
