Music Under A Midnight Moon / Britt Orchestra
Family Concert—featuring Platypus Theatre
Saturday, August 15, 2009 • 7:30 p.m. Pre-concert activities: 5:45 p.m.
Back by popular demand from their 2007 Britt performance of "How the Gimquat Found Her Song," Platypus Theatre returns with another mesmerizing story to capture hearts and fire imaginations. Platypus Theatre uses their unique storytelling with orchestra to create an unforgettable family experience.
Two actors create magic with brilliant mime and a treasure trove of rubbish that tinkles, bangs, whistles and sings. This program uses an original score and a rich repertoire of Romantic and twentieth century works to weave an inspiring tale. While struggling to overcome their hardships, two tramps discover that music and beauty exist all around them and within each one of us.
