Over the past three decades, Rick Springfield has worn many hats as an entertainer and performer. The creator of some of the finest power-pop of the ’80s, a Grammy winning singer, songwriter, and musician who has sold 25 million albums and scored 17 U.S. Top 40 hits, including “Jessie’s Girl,” “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” “An Affair of the Heart,” “I've Done Everything for You,” “Love Somebody,” and “Human Touch.” He’s an accomplished actor who most recently starred opposite Meryl Streep in the feature film Ricki and the Flash, gave a chameleonic performance as the creepy Dr. Pitlor in HBO’s prestige drama True Detective and is earning great reviews for his portrayal of Lucifer this season on the CW hit, Supernatural. In 2014, Springfield was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, located around the corner from the first apartment he lived in when he first arrived in the U.S. from Australia in 1971.
Jeff K & OverTones
Jeff Kloetzel is a gifted singer/songwriter and soulful solo performer. Upon the release of his latest full production CD, "Long Time Coming", Jeff teamed up with seasoned drummer David Bolen and bassist Donnie Yance. This rhythm section duo is known as OverTones. The core group also incorporates guest artists for some of its performances. Together Jeff K and OverTones have created an exhilerating live show.
What is so special about their sound is that it crosses many traditional lines and is defining a new genre of music. Artists like The Dave Mathews Band, Rob Thomas, Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, Michael Jackson, Garth Brooks, Carrie Underwood and Earth, Wind, & Fire have captured cross-genre audiences with a unique blend of talent, personality and originality. For those wanting musical categorization, Jeff K & Overtones can also fall into Pop, R&B/Funk, Country, Folk, Light Rock, Adult Contemporary and Jazz.
The chemistry between these accomplished musicians is infectious on and off stage. Their individual passions for music also reflect years of experience playing venues from New York and Hawaii and even international locations in Europe, Asia and Australia. They are truly focused on their craft and are committed to sharing their love through this inspiring collaboration.
