Globe Saxophone Quartet, Faculty Quartet in Residence

The scholarship application for the Saxophone Workshop has passed; however applications for admission are still being considered.

Camp Description:
One of only a few camps in the United States dedicated to the saxophone, this is a unique opportunity for you to explore the challenge of saxophone quartet repertoire as well as performing in a large saxophone orchestra. The camp is open to college, high school and advanced middle school saxophonists. Participants are placed in quartets and assigned music based on ability and experience. The camp will take place on the campus of Southern Oregon University. It features faculty performances, master classes in classical and jazz methods, a participant quartet recital and performing as guests with the Ashland City Band in beautiful Lithia Park. Attending concerts at Britt Festivals and master classes with Britt Festivals' artists are an added bonus. Recreational activities include a river rafting trip. The faculty are four of America's best saxophone teachers who bring to their teaching a wealth of experience on the world's classical stages. Download a sample schedule(pdf) to see how the week is organized.
