Britt's 2010 T-Shirt Design Contest

ATTENTION ARTISTS:

Britt Festivals is giving artists (professional, amateur and student) the opportunity to leave a mark on the 2010 Festival by designing this season's t-shirt.

Artists should submit their design to Britt Festivals via email to graphics@brittfest.org. A panel of judges consisting of Britt staff and volunteers will choose a winning design. The winner receives $100 (compliments of Britt Society), a pair of tickets to a concert of choice (subject to availability) and two t-shirts. The winning design will be produced and sold as an official Britt Festivals 2010 t-shirt.

We are looking for unique, original artwork that captures the magic of the Britt Experience! Deadline is Wednesday, April 14. 

Be creative, but please follow the design guidelines and specifications below:

DESIGN GUIDELINES

• Your design should be inspired by Britt Festivals in general, and not a specific  concert.
•  Your design can include the words “Britt Festivals” or be dated “2010”, though that’s not required.
•  The design could just be typographical in nature.
•  The shirt should be something that someone would want to wear even if they don’t know about Britt Festivals. In short, universally esthetically pleasing.
•  Please keep in mind artwork should be appropriate in nature for all audiences.
•  Do not include existing Britt Festivals logos.
•  Your design will only be printed on one side (either front or back) of the shirt.
•  You may submit up to three designs, but they must be submitted as separate entries.
•  Artists are encouraged to work in a variety of mediums, but the final work must be easily converted for screen printing.
•  Your design must be wholly original and must not have been previously used for other commercial work. By submitting a design you are guaranteeing that you hold rights to everything in it, and that it does not contain any copyright material.

DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS

•  It’s best if you create your design in Photoshop or Illustrator or another professional design program. If you use another means/medium to make your design, be prepared to provide print-ready files of the design should you win. Your submission must be a PDF.
•  Your design should contain a maximum of four (4) colors.
•  Your design must fit within the printable area as shown on the templates Template.psd | Template.ai. It is a 10” wide x 13” high rectangular area. You may also choose t-shirt fabric colors on the templates, but it is not required.
• Your submission should be a PDF file no larger than 5MB. If you win we will ask you for the high resolution files.
