Composer Caroline Shaw meets with orchestra students from Grants Pass High after members of the BFO perform Caroline’s string quartet “Entr’acte” during the premiere week of her commissioned piece, "Brush: Music in the Woodlands".
"I just wanted to say thank you so much for giving me this scholarship! This means a lot to my family and myself and will go towards paying for my tuition at The Juilliard School of Music! As someone who's grown up in Southern Oregon I spent a few summers coming out to see the Britt Orchestra and that had a HUGE impact on me and helped solidify my choice to go into performing arts. I also remember you guys bringing in chamber groups to my high school and that was amazing to see that level of artistry right in our classroom! Thank you so much for this scholarship and all you do for music!"
~Thomas Green, double bass, South Medford High School graduate
