Ready to try Plein Air Sketching or Painting? Britt Music & Arts Festival is teaming up with local landscape painter Sarah F. Burns for a landscape painting and sketching workshop!

Sarah will show you her favorite strategies for creating artwork outdoors in the beautiful Woodlands Trail above the Britt Pavilion. She will guide you in understanding color and light to create your own unique expression.

Preliminary Zoom:
You can join a Zoom conversation with Sarah on Thursday, May 16, from 6:00 - 7:00pm. Learn some principles and strategies for painting landscapes, with a variety of examples and art historical references to get you inspired.

May 18th Workshop:
The workshop will take place on Saturday, May 18th from 9:00am – 1:00pm. We will hike to the Panorama Loop and where Sarah will give a painting demo. Then participants will settle into sketching or painting solo. Sarah will check in on everyone individually, answering questions and offering feedback. Everyone will gather round at 12:30 pm to share experiences. This Plein Air Session is great for artists with some experience, but beginners are welcome.
