Born in Korea and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Portland-based composer, violinist-looper and vocalist Joe Kye uses innovative digital effects and looping to create songs that groove, uplift and empower his young listeners. Drawing upon his migrant upbringing, Joe blends inde-rock, jazz, classical and pop to create a unique sound. Joe is passionate about giving a voice to underrepresented children and presenting all families with a fun, educational resource to talk about inclusivity and equity.
